    About HCL TechBee Program

    HCL’s TechBee Program is a gateway to opportunities for Year 13 students for a career in technology. Candidates who express interest in signing up for this program undergo three months of foundation training on IT essentials, Business Ethics and Communication. Post successful completion of foundation training, candidates have an option to appear for HCL Career Aptitude Test which is the entry point for TechBee – HCL’s Early Career Program, which makes the student eligible to pursue full-time work within HCL (subject to successfully completing the job-based training/ internship). HCL TechBee Program enables students to learn and earn, right after Year 13 and transforms them into financially independent IT professionals.

    Program Outline

    Phase 1: Foundation Skilling Program

    • Three Months Training
    • Virtual Instructor Led Classes & Self-Paced Sessions
    • Training Modules Include: IT Essentials, Ethics and Business Communications

    Phase 1: Foundation Skilling Program

    Phase 2: Stream-Specific Skilling & Internships

    • Three Months Stream- specific Training & Six Months Internship
    • Candidates will be required to spend at least 20 hours every week during the training
    • Stipend of NZ Dollar 2500/month
    • Job opportunitues with HCL Technologies post successful assessment of the training program

    Please Note: Students enrolled in the Foundation Skilling Program can choose to withdraw within the 3-month duration. Students who wish to progress to Stream-Specific Skilling & Internships must successfully complete the requirements of the Foundation Skilling Program.

    Eligibility Criteria & Financial Assistance

    Eligibility Criteria

    To be eligible for HCL TechBee Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

    • An Year 13 student who has successfully completed the assessment with a score of 60% and above in year 13
    • Year 13 passing year should be 2021, 2020 , 2019 or 2018
    • Candidate should have studied Mathematics in Year 13
    • New Zealand Citizen/Permanent Resident

    Financial Assistance

    HCL TechBee Program is a fully sponsored training program for Year 13 students. Students who express interest and get selected are not required to pay any joining fee. Post successful assessment of Foundation Skills Training of 3 months, the student may choose to continue with stream-specific training

    Candidates who continue with stream-specific training of a minimum of 20 hours/week are entitled to receive NZ Dollar 2500/month as a monthly stipend.

    What will you learn?

    In the Stream-specific Internships, we will cover the following topics:

    • C++, Java, Dot Net, Oracle Development, Hardware Fundamentals,

      Network Administration,

      Datacenter Operations, Virtualization, HTML, Angular JS, React JS and other technology skills

    What is the progression after the Foundation Skilling Program?

    Candidates who have completed Foundation Skilling Program have the following options:

    • Continue with HCL: You can appear for HCL Career Aptitude Test (HCL CAT). In this test, students are evaluated for Reasoning, Mathematical and Logical Thinking Skills. Students who clear HCL CAT undergo 3 months of stream specific training and 6 months of internship for entry-level job roles at HCL.
    • Continue outside of HCLYou can withdraw *from HCL TechBee Program and pursue careers / internship or higher education elsewhere as you deem suitable.

    Where will the HCL TechBee Program lead You?

    • Completing 3 months of Foundation Skills Training Program is a prerequisite for you to pursue stream specific training & internship at HCL TechBee in Australia.
    • Upon successful completion of this 1-year program, you will be equipped to start your tech career and explore potential career opportunities with HCL Technologies in New Zealand. You may start your career as a Consultant, Developer, Analyst, Administrator, UI/Visual Designer, Tech Support and can advance depending on the technology stream you are trained in.

Students in Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Tech Bee program will have access to mentors who will guide them through every stage across different dimensions.
